Iconic Windmills
April 07 2019 – Tiffany Treloar
The photo that inspired this design was taken by Richard Cornish at a town called Beeac, near Colac in Victoria's Western District. It is a typically, iconic Australian image of these huge iron towers which pump much-needed water to our harsh landscape. They generate water for crops, livestock and the local population and date back to the 1890's and 1940's.
I loved the photo as soon as I saw it, and immediately started picturing the possibilities for new winter designs.
